How it all started

Our founder, Jeremy Duckworth, loved being in front of the camera as an actor. But after relocating to Northwest Arkansas in 2011 to marry his beautiful wife Susanne, Jeremy saw a need for video and cinema production in the area.

He drew on years of being on set with some of the best directors in full-scale productions back in Wilmington, North Carolina, along with his passion for learning about new equipment, techniques, and distribution channels, to start a production company. Bod High Productions (BHP) was named after his and Susanne’s newborn son, Bodhi. Although it is pronounced 'Bo dee', Bod High soon became his nickname.

After starting BHP, Jeremy was hired to direct and produce the local television show Cooking Today for two seasons on KNWA. This show produced over 287 episodes and ended up making him one of the most experienced videographers in the area to work with shooting food content.

In 2016, his wife Michelle decided to join forces full-time, bringing years of experience doing graphic design and marketing. Together, they partnered with Chef Brooks to create a new farm-to-table show, Cook with Brooks, that ran statewide on AETN/PBS for Season 1. Although that show ended, Steven Brooks has been able to go on and appear on the Food Network,  and Pilots for other large productions. Steven is now hosting his own series on Netflix.

BHP moved on to other shows and projects here in NWA. Producing a documentary film, Land of Lights and Shadows, took up a lot of 2019, as well as numerous other fun projects with their main client Tyson Foods. Then 2020 proved to be a year that tested them all. They had their busiest year yet, while also dealing with their oldest son being diagnosed with Leukemia in February. After 6 months of treatment, he is now 2 years in remission and enjoying everyday a little more.

During all that, Jeremy picked up an old habit of racing and decided to merge his love of racing and video, taking 2021-2022 to pursue this passion. During this time, Michelle decided to work as a Producer for Quad, a vendor for the Walmart Photo Studio. After a year of learning about ecommerce photography and trying something new, we decided it was time to put our hearts back into BHP. Although it was fun, the focus now is back on the business of making great content for our clients. We are forever adapting to the changing needs of content, but our adaptable and flexible team is able to shoot about anywhere at an affordable rate.

Now, more than ever, with a talented team of freelancers, BHP is able to excel at any production request that comes their way. Plus, with the addition of Elizabeth, we can create content that can have strategy behind it.  With her ability to share out the content in a meaningful way, through Google Ads and Social Media, BHP can do it all. Of course, they can do a television show, but we also love live event captures, commercials, testimonials, web series, on-line content and much more.

Jeremy Duckworth

A former race-car driver and fabricator, Jeremy worked on a couple of NASCAR teams before realizing his heart was in film and TV. After working on a Budweiser commercial for the 2003 Daytona 500 and working on The NASCAR IMAX movie, he decided to go back to study acting in 2006. He studied acting at CPCC in the Charlotte area. His teacher there is the one that led him to the film actor studios, where he was able to further educate himself and study his craft. Check out all he has done as an actor, working for the CW, HBO, and Universal Studios. TV shows like One Tree Hill and Eastbound & Down, to name a couple. Also making numerous appearances on films like LeatherHeads and Blood Done Sign My Name. All of these experiences spring boarded him into producing and directing.

Jeremy brings an unique perspective from years of experience in front of the camera to his production work behind the camera. He has learned every aspect of production in order to maintain a lean operation while shooting and editing over 335 television episodes. Plus, being Director of Photography on feature films, Corporate Videos, and many other online projects. He has built a company and reputation on hard work and word-of-mouth referrals. He has also grown the company to serve many large corporate clients, as well as small businesses.

In 2020, he even started his own YouTube channel and gained monetization through it.  Learning as he went, he documented starting in Go-Karting, Out-Law, Bmod and finally Amod dirt track racing through his YouTube channel, Racer Guy. The racing lasted about 2 years, but now is no longer being pursued. On to the next thing to spark his interest.

Most recently, he has been interested in doing Product Photography and Videography for retail vendors by partnering with LBC Studios in Downtown Rogers. Partnering with other small creators has been a rewarding experience he would like to expand to keep learning new things.

Susanne Michelle Hammarstrom

After earning her BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration at MSU where she grew up, Susanne had to get a few things off her bucket list. One was living in places like Jackson Hole and Portland, Maine where she worked at a number of advertising agencies. Then even onto living in Spain and Costa Rica for a bit as a TEFL teacher. Along the way, she found a love for helping small businesses and a love for design in all mediums.

After 38 countries, she decided to move back to where her family is, NWA. Since moving back to the Midwest, Susanne worked in the world of in-store shopper marketing for Walmart and Sam’s Club with Catapult Marketing, promoting clients as diverse as MARS Petcare, MARS Chocolate, Crayola, Bayer, DPSG, and ConAgra Foods.

Susanne has co-owned Bod High Productions since 2012 with her husband. She took on full-time Creative Director duties in 2016 when they got the chance to produce their own show, Cook with Brooks. Now, she is addicted to crafting beautiful and engaging stories for all their clients.

On top of creating, she has learned the skill of Project and Account Management. Taking a year to work at the Walmart Photo Studio under Quad to learn more about the world of ecommerce. She helped manage the Refresh of all Private Brand images for the Bentonville Studio to ensure the product was received, imaged, edited and uploaded in the way it was intended.

Now back to BHP full-time, it was refreshing to get out of her bubble and learn something new.
